Comprehensive Pain Management

St. Agnes Hospital Auditorium

Targeted for Physicians and Pharmacists, the objectives of this seminar are to:
  • Discuss comprehensive pain management treatment and strategies to reduce the risk of misuse and adverse outcomes
  • Review clinical considerations, such as drug interactions of analgesics, when selecting appropriate pain management therapy
  • Distinguish pseudo-addiction from addiction
  • Review the regulatory and legal considerations associated with prescribing and dispensing controlled substances
  • Review the Maryland Medicaid Corrective Managed Care (Pharmacy Lock In) Program
  • Provide an overview of Geo-Mapping of opioid monitoring

Review invitation and agenda.  The seminar is sponsored by the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Maryland Medicaid Pharmacy Program.

Continuing Education Credits

4 Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits will be provided by St. Agnes Hospital.
4 Continuing Education (CE) credits will be provided by the Maryland Board of Pharmacy. Continuing education credits are offered at no cost to attendees.

Registration

There is no registration fee for attending the program or for receiving the credits provided.  However, attendees must be preregistered and registration is limited to approximately 150 attendees.  Space is very limited at this time.  Call 410-767-5945 to inquire about registration.
